You must be a member of HEARTS to participate in classes, sports, and most extracurricular activities.  We are a faith-based organization so at least one parent and all registered students must agree with our Statement of Faith and Standards of Conduct . 

HEARTS Members can also receive a discounted membership to HSLDA.  Contact the Registrar  for the group discount code. 

Registration costs are as follows.  Access to social and ministry activities, the website and newsletter are included in all memberships.

• FULL MEMBERSHIP (covers access to classes, sports, and graduation)

             $45 per family + insurance fee (calculated below)  If you are signing up for classes, be sure that you read all our class policies .

• MIXED MEMBERSHIP  (covers sports and graduation)

             $40 per family + insurance fee (calculated below)

• LIMITED MEMBERSHIP (includes access to sports OR graduation only, but not both)

             $20 per family  + insurance fee (calculated below)

Membership fees are waived for families in full-time ministry; HEARTS teachers and coaches, and HEARTS Planning Committee Members

Insurance:  Insurance fees are calculated PER TEEN, based on the activities they will be involved in at HEARTS.

            SPORTS ONLY - $12.00 per teen               CLASSES ONLY - $18 per teen                  SPORTS & CLASSES - $28 per teen

In addition, HEARTS has a Financial Aid Fund that serves to cover membership and tuition fees for families in financial need.  You may donate money to this fund during your registration process or, if you are in need of this assistance contact the Registrar directly for assistance. 

All HEARTS members must volunteer in one area for the year.  There are many opportunities that fit all different lifestyles.  However, parents of all teens in HEARTS classes, must volunteer to serve in one of the positions at GUMC.  To see the current list of volunteer positions, go to our VOLUNTEER  PAGE.  This page will be kept up to date so you may choose any position that does not say "FILLED."  List positions on your form in order of your preference, 1-3.  No registration will be processed unless a volunteer position is chosen. 

Tuition costs for classes and sports participation fees are addressed separately so that each member pays only for the services they use.  For classes, a deposit, materials fee and the first quarter's payment is paid with your HEARTS registration.  The balance of the quarterly payments are made directly to the teachers.   For sports, costs for each sport are addressed when you sign up to play.
